Biography
Alexa is an American singer and accomplished equestrian, having competed multiple times in the Marshall & Sterling National Finals.
Raised in Scarsdale NY, Alexa was exposed to the equestrian world at the age of 4 and later honed her skills to become an accomplished show jumper. Alexa branched out musically during her time at Scarsdale High School as a member of the A Capella group “For Good Measure”, performing as a recurring soloist. The group was awarded Best A Cappella Group 2011 via competing high schools in the NY Metro area.
Alexa officially broke into the music scene summer 2012 with her first single, “Cause We Feel Like It”, a song representative of her rebellious feelings about graduating high school and enjoying the summer. (the song features out of the box radio, electro house, dance electronica & dub step variations). “Cause We Feel Like It” garnered attention from fashion designer Indashio ( Winner of VH1′s Glam God), who made Alexa the “IT GIRL” for his Spring / Summer 2013 American Dream collection. This December, Alexa will make her performance debut on MTV’s MADE where the show will highlight Indashio’s upcoming collection. She also appeared alongside Indashio during his Mercedes Benz Fashion Week events.
Alexa is a natural performer whether competing at nationals, singing or dancing in front of a camera. Using her music, she hopes to achieve the same impact her music idols, Janis Joplin and Michael Jackson have had on their fan base. Alexa is also an active HIV/AIDS activist and most recently participated in the Until There’s A Cure foundation for HIV/AID’s PSA.
Alexa is currently in the studio recording her follow up singles, “Don’t Let Go” & “Ego” and her EP as executive producer alongside 2CK Productions, LLC.
